The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, announced the need to expand the categories of citizens who can be conscripted for training or conscription.
As he noted in his article in The Economist, one of his priorities is to accumulate reserves. According to him, there are gaps in the legislation of Ukraine that allow citizens to avoid their responsibilities.
"We are trying to fix those problems. We introduce a unified register of conscripts, expand the category of citizens who can be conscripted for training or conscription, we also introduce a practice that includes experienced personnel in combat units to train them," the general added.
