The European Commission will conduct an investigation against Twitter

The European Commission will review Twitter's performance after withdrawing from the so-called EU voluntary code against disinformation online. According to the inspection results, the social network may face EU sanctions in the form of a fine of up to 6% of the company's annual turnover.

Vera Yurova, the deputy head of the European Commission for Values and Transparency, announced this on Monday.
