South Korean automaker SsangYong will change its name

On Thursday, the Korea Times newspaper reported that the new head of "SsangYong Motor" company, Kwak Jae-song, proposes to change the name of the South Korean car manufacturer to KG Mobility. 

Recently, a consortium led by KG Group acquired 62% of SsangYong's shares. The automaker has had severe financial problems due to debts and has been under foreign management since April 2021.
