The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria expressed concern regarding the growing influence of Russia in Armenia

In Vienna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Schallenberg, also exchanged ideas on regional security, particularly the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Recently, with the mediation of the EU and the United States, negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan took place, which raised hopes for easing tensions. Austria has previously strongly advocated for an EU civilian mission in Armenia to support the path to stability and security. Despite the right focus on Ukraine, other potential hotspots should not be overlooked.
